"This was a period of our lives where I think the word innocence is a really great way to describe it. It was a bunch of kids that got together, that discovered music that they thought nobody else had heard, that was underground. We thought we found our identity through this music and we thought we should make our own version of that. Eric Stefani was the leader and said this is what we were going to do. And I did whatever my big brother told me to do. Because we were such huge fans of ska music, we knew exactly how to fall in line to create our version of that. We made our own club, our own world. It was procrastination from going to school and having to work. It was what we did to escape everything. It wasn't planned and we didn't think we had a future in it.

It was built out of love for music and it was built out of being in the moment." - Gwen Stefani
